[Warhammer 40k :: Rogue Trader Kin no Kunaï]

14 Novembre 778 M XLI. à bord de l'épave du Chanceux au cœur de la Procession, cadran du Cocyte, secteur Barbarus.

Une fois Zion ramenée dans le giron de l'Imperium et en sécurité en orbite de Badon, le Kin No Kunai plonge à nouveau dans l'enfer anarchique de la procession ! Les Starr sont à la recherche du Chanceux : le  croiseur Dauntless de leur aïeul Carolus Seban Alastor Starr !

La carcasse est criblée de cristaux Yuh'vat et une étrange perturbation envahit toute la zone. Ils se rendent compte que Schrödinger la planète voyageuse avait son orbite ici et que le Chanceux était en orbite stationnaire autour de Schrödinger lorsque celle-ci s'est enfuie!

Après une exploration précautionneuse, Killian, Lex, Sasha et les space marines de la nouvelle Void Guard posent enfin le pied sur un des ponts du Chanceux près du palais du capitaine ! Ils y découvrent une salle d'archive étanche et sécurisée qui a protégé les précieuse trace de la famille Starr des ravages du temps.

Un système archéotech révèle que Carolus avait enregistré sa personnalité et sa mémoire dans une machine ! Joshua, grâce au code génétique familiale parvient à activer l'esprit machine et l'intelligence artificielle se manifeste par un hologramme !

Les révélations sinistres s'enchainent les une après les autres ! Damian Alexander Starr tué par Carolus était un fanatique du Faucon Sacré aux Yeux de Feu qui tenta de faire posséder Charles Alexander Starr (le père de Morgan Killian et de Joshua Alexander !). Il y fut aidé par Neferata Vandelagris, l'épouse de carolus; qui manipula la mère de Charles Ivana Orovich. Carolus pratiqua une purge drastique en exterminant sa propre famille jusqu'au dernier membre touché par les idée de Damian ! Mais le fil de Carolus (père de Charles) terrifié par les révélations et par son propre père s'enfuit avec les archives pour les détruire ! Augustus Enius Starr s'empara des originaux sur Volken et les fit disparaitre à jamais ! Carolus dont la rage au combat frôlait la corruption de Khorne quant à lui est mort avec son vaisseau lorsque Schrödinger quitta son orbite pour filer vers la porte noire, laissant un héritier terrifié par sa rage et lâche comme jamais !

Face à tout ça Joshua ne sait trop que penser. il reste inquiet de la folie de tout ses ancêtres et de la malédiction de malheur qui les frappent tous. Il cherche, amer, une façon de sauver son âme et de savoir qui il est dans sa folie, alors qu'on lui répète sans cesse : "Peu importe qui vous êtes en réalité c'est l'histoire que vous raconterez qui restera ! C'est la légende que vous laisserez à la gloire de l'Imperium qui compte !" Il n'a que faire de cela!


14 November 778 M XLI. Aboard the lucky wreck at the heart of the Procession, Cocyte dial, Barbarus sector.

Once Zion is brought back into the lap of the Imperium and safe on Badon's orbit, the Kin No Kunai plunges back into the hell of the procession! The Starrs are in search of the Lucky One: the Dauntless cruiser of their grand-grandfather Carolus Seban Alastor Starr!

After a careful exploration, Killian, Lex, Sasha and the space marines from the new Void Guard (Arkeo, Primus, Secundus and Tercius) finally set foot on one of the lucky bridges near the captain's palace! They discover a waterproof and secure archive room that  protectes the precious last traces of the Starr family from the ravages of time.

An archeotech system reveals that Carolus had recorded his personality and his memory in a machine! Joshua, thanks to the family genetic code, manages to activate the machine spirit and the artificial intelligence manifests by a hologram!

The sinister revelations follow one after the other! Damian Alexander Starr killed by Carolus was a fanatic of the Sacred Fire Eyes Falcon who tried to have Charles Alexander Starr ( Morgan Killian and Joshua Alexander's father ) as his host. He was assisted by Neferata Vandelagris, Carolus's wife ; Who manipulated Charles's mother, Ivana Orovich. Carolus practiced a drastic purge by exterminating his own family until the last member touched by the idea from ​​Damian! But Carolus's son (Charles's father) terrified by the revelations and by his own father fled with the archives to destroy them! Augustus Enius Starr seized the originals on Volken and made them disappear forever! Carolus, whose rage in battle brushed to the corruption of Khorne, died with his ship when Schrödinger left its orbit to sail to the black door, leaving an heir terrified by his rage and loose as never before!

Facing with all this Joshua does not know what to think. He remains anxious about the madness of all his ancestors from the begining and the curse of misfortune which afflicts all of them. He seeks, bitterly, a way of saving his soul and his sister's one, and of knowing who he is in his madness, when he is repeatedly told: "No matter who you  for real, it's the story that you will tell witch will stay! This is the legend you will leave to the glory of the Imperium that counts!" He don't care about that !
